I know not many people have heard of the band Enter Shikari. They are a screamo rock band from London. Great music, cool beats. I met them when they came to Tulsa, OK. Super nice guys, signed some shirts for me and I got a picture taken with the lead singer. This may seem crazy, but I liked them so much I need my dog after them. :)
Did you know however, That the drummer Rob Rolfe was arrested? It was because of all kinds of drugs,but he has a girlfriend now and has stopped, but due to his criminal record (drug related) he cant get into United States. That is the reason as to why we have not seen him on any US tours. He has been denied his American Visa. Which means he will not even be allowed to enter the country even on holiday (vacation). He will be re-applying for the visa in the summer after they have built up a case to show that he is a good citizen and not a threat to national security. If you have seen the band perform in the 2009 tour in the US, it was his good friend 'Noddy' who stepped in to take over the drummer position. He's really good live. He plays for the band called 'Fell Silent'. Also great music. If you haven't heard of them, please go check them out. There really good!
As for the band Enter Shikari, they have recently announced that they have finished recording a new album. Their last album put out was Entitled 'Common Dreads'. It is already released. If you haven't heard any of there songs by now, check the link out to listen to one of them. What does everyone think about this album?

ReplyDeleteWhen they went to USA they make many excuses like Rob wa sick, or he can't get the visa for something silly, but I never though for drugs, that really sad, but well its his life.

Ha. Drugs? Really? He has a criminal record because he got himself into a couple drunken bar fights. That's it. He couldn't get his visa because he had drunk and disorderlies on his record (I'm guessing that's what they charged him with, but it could be something else along those same lines) You'd do great as one of the media. Research, love.
