High Speed Pursuit In Midwest City, OK.

Today at my work I had front row seats to a high speed pursuit! It started in Spencer, OK and ended in Cleveland County off Franklin Road near Lake Thunderbird. Where a routine traffic stop by a sheriff turned into a high speed chase in Midwest City. It was a women driver in a Mercedes. When the sheriff attempted to pull her over she took off. Her speed reached over 80 mph. The Police used many stop sticks during the chase which made the suspect lose several of her tires. Yet she still continued to flee! Smoke was coming from her car, because most of the 20-minute pursuit she was driving on three rims. Eventually she was caught in a residential neighborhood where her car went off the road. Not far from where children were outside playing. She was then arrested. Fortunately no one was injured during this chase. They still have no idea why she took off. Her name has not been released either. This chase went right by my office! Its been crazy all the things that I have seen in the last few months. Has anyone else seen a high speed chase go by there house, office, or car while driving?? I want to hear your stories!

  1. Hi, I found this post while searching for more information on this chase... I was at the intersection of Post and 15th, and saw the near-collision between this crazy driver and several innocent drivers. It is amazing that no one was hurt--but still a crazy thing to see!
